Ashley holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bethel University. She joins the MCI after serving at The Center of Hope and Healing in Elk River, MN where she worked with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, relationship conflicts, and life transitions.

Prior to returning to school to become a therapist, Ashley worked as a youth minister and theology teacher, where her passion for teaching the faith and forming disciples came alive. She believes that God meets us in our sufferings and teaches us how to find genuine joy, peace, and hope even as we experience the inevitable sufferings of life. This belief ultimately led Ashley into the mental health field, as she is passionate about helping others not merely find relief from their mental health symptoms, but to encounter Jesus Christ as healer and redeemer, a God who offers a peace-filled life even amidst our deepest aches.

Ashley views her clients as whole persons, and therefore values both cognitive and somatic approaches to help clients find healing. Ashley uses various modalities in therapy, including psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance-commitment therapy, and the integration of body awareness. Ashley’s areas of therapeutic interest include anxiety, depression, OCD, female sexuality, stress, and grief and loss. Ashley is passionate about therapy being a collaborative and practical process for clients as they learn how to integrate newly learned skills into their daily lives.

Ashley is available for individual therapy in person and via telehealth. She works with individuals aged 13+ and especially enjoys working with adolescents and young adults. She practices under the supervision of Joanna Diem, LMFT.
