Ben is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MN #4240), receiving his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas in Philosophy and Catholic Studies. 

Ben has training in several modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing - trauma treatment), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), DBT-C (using DBT principles with parents and children), PREPARE/ENRICH, and Psychological First Aid. 

His clinical experience includes working with couples, families - including parenting sessions for kids/teens - and working with individual clients. He has experience in working with families in crisis, men struggling with anger and relationships, people who have experienced trauma, and emerging adults. Ben has also worked extensively in pastoral settings with young men - teenagers and young adults.

Ben lives in the St. Paul, Minnesota area with his wife and two kids. His ideal day would be watching a baseball game on a summer afternoon or on a hike with his family.

Fees

Sessions with Ben are $160 per hour. Making therapy affordable is a priority and if the full fee poses financial hardship, an income-suggested sliding fee is available. Please contact Ben for more information about this option. Payment may be made by cash, check or major credit card.

We can provide a “superbill” for you to submit to your insurance for receiving out-of-network benefits; we cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insurance. To offer you privacy and simplicity, we accept HSA/FSA credit cards, accept all major credit cards, as well as cash or checks. Please check with your insurance provider to find out the portion of session fees they cover if you use out-of-network benefits. All clinicians offer a sliding fee scale for those in financial need. Please contact your clinician to discuss your options.
