Carmen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MN #4222, WI #2031124) who holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, graduating in 2015. The opportunity to combine her faith with solid therapeutic interventions led her to the Martin Center for Integration. In addition to her work at MCI, Carmen has worked in the field of equine-assisted psychotherapy at Acres for Life since 2015. It is here she developed a love for horses and all animals and recognizes the importance animals and nature play in creating a safe space to share our stories. Her clinical interests include body image, self-worth, relationship dynamics and persons effected by substance use. She has specific experience with eating disorder recovery and body image. 

She is passionate about participating in the process of healing through Christ and helping people pursue being who God intended them to be. She works to develop a relationship with each person built on trust and mutual respect. She likes to establish a safe therapeutic environment that empowers each person to uncover their God-given true potential and live a happier and more satisfied life.  

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her church community as a volunteer and Wedding Coordinator and participating in adoration and small groups. In addition to this she loves to read and is a member of a Well-Read Mom book club, travel, sports and movies. Mostly she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her 3 nephews.
