Maggie is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MN #2431) with a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is trained and rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), as well as DC:0-5 trained. Maggie is also a PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator.
Maggie’s previous clinical experience has been working with parent-child relationships and attachment difficulties, children with trauma and behavioral problems. She is comfortable working with young children (0-5+), as well as older children, adults, couples, and family groups. Her clinical interests are parent-child relationships, post-partum and parental mental health, co-parenting issues, and manifestations of depression and anxiety such as negative self-talk, excessive worrying, low self-worth, and shame. She is also interested in treating couples who experience problems within their relationship, including communication, commitment, intimacy, and overall relational satisfaction issues. For couples with children, treatment will include recognizing the impact their problems have on their children and ways to mitigate any negative effects.
Maggie has recently been home full-time with her three boys and is looking forward to returning to clinical work. She is available for therapy in office or via telehealth.
When not at work, Maggie teaches piano, sings, drinks too much coffee, and appreciates a good nap.
