Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University in Arlington, Virginia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to her clinical career, Amy spent five years in college ministry, an experience that highlighted the critical need for mental health support and inspired her to pursue professional training to continue to serve adolescents and young adults.

Amy’s therapeutic perspective is collaborative, holistic, and deeply respectful of each client’s unique dignity and life context. She has clinical experience across diverse settings, including a crisis shelter for at-risk youth, an eating disorder clinic, private practice, and general mental health. Specialities include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, life transitions, and attachment-based relationship dynamics, Amy integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotions Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Her passion lies in combining practical skills with deeper, experiential work to foster transformational healing, helping clients connect more deeply with themselves and others so they can truly flourish.

Outside her clinical work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, especially camping and hiking. Embracing life as its own great adventure, she keeps her path fueled by plenty of coffee and lots of grace.

Amy practices under the supervision of Kenna Millea, MA, LMFT (MN #3598).

Insurance

When utilizing insurance benefits, sessions will be billed at $225 for the initial session and $180 for all subsequent sessions.

Amy is currently an in-network provider with the following insurance payers:

We can provide a “superbill” for you to submit to your insurance for receiving out-of-network benefits; we cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insurance. To offer you privacy and simplicity, we accept HSA/FSA credit cards, accept all major credit cards, as well as cash or checks. Please check with your insurance provider to find out the portion of session fees they cover if you use out-of-network benefits. All clinicians offer an income-suggested sliding fee scale for those in financial need. Please contact your clinician to discuss your options.

Paying Privately

When not utilizing insurance benefits, sessions with Amy are $140 per hour. Making therapy affordable is a priority and if the full fee poses financial hardship, an income-suggested sliding fee scale is available. Please contact Amy for more information about this option. Payment may be made by cash, check or major credit card.
