Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services
Kate Rillo holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and is currently working towards her Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. After her undergraduate work, she served as a missionary with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), an experience that deepened her passion for accompanying others on their healing journey. Following her missionary work, Kate gained valuable experience as an elementary art teacher, nanny, and photographer before feeling called to pursue graduate studies in counseling and therapy.
Kate is passionate about integrating Christian faith with mental health care. She believes therapy is a courageous step toward becoming who God has called each person to be. Taking a holistic approach, Kate integrates both mental and somatic therapeutic methods. Drawing from her diverse background in ministry, education, and caregiving, she seeks to help clients through compassionate listening, mindful presence, and by equipping them with tools for future resilience.
In her free time, Kate enjoys baking, drinking lattes, gardening, getting creative, and spending time with her husband and sweet daughter. Being a mom has brought deep fulfillment to her life and has enriched her understanding of growth, resilience, and the beauty of human connection.
