Marty Longsdorf is a Masters Level Clinician seeking advanced licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Marty holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas in Philosophy and Catholic Studies with a minor in Psychology.

Marty has a passion for the importance of mental health counseling that is rooted in the deepest truths of the Christian tradition, a grounded understanding of the human person as intrinsically good, and a strong research-based psychological lens for effective intervention. He also values the role of accompaniment as a therapist and the privilege it is to work with each one of his clients. Marty seeks to accompany by using several different modalities including meaning-making, acceptance and commitment, story work, and emotion-focused techniques. He has experience working with both individuals and couples regarding anxiety, stress, perfectionism, life transitions, interpersonal and relational issues, communication problems, sexual concerns, and trauma.

In his free time Marty enjoys downhill skiing, listening to live music, playing board games, being with family, and spending time on the North Shore.

Marty is working under the supervision of Maggie Hartzheim, MA, LMFT (MN #2431) and Ben Baker, MA, LMFT (MN #4240).

Insurance

When utilizing insurance benefits, sessions will be billed at $200 for the initial session and $160 for all subsequent sessions.

Marty is currently an in-network provider with the following insurance payers:

We can provide a “superbill” for you to submit to your insurance for receiving out-of-network benefits; we cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insurance. To offer you privacy and simplicity, we accept HSA/FSA credit cards, accept all major credit cards, as well as cash or checks. Please check with your insurance provider to find out the portion of session fees they cover if you use out-of-network benefits. All clinicians offer an income-suggested sliding fee scale for those in financial need. Please contact your clinician to discuss your options.

Paying Privately

When not utilizing insurance benefits, sessions with Marty are $125 per hour. Making therapy affordable is a priority and if the full fee poses financial hardship, an income-suggested sliding fee scale is available. Please contact Marty for more information about this option. Payment may be made by cash, check or major credit card.
